From theory into practice

For our second crit i showed my first mock up version.

This was my first design that i took to the crit, feedback i got was that it could be too confusing, there needed to be more relevant imagery towards the film and that i could use the invisible pen more. Also that the spinning wheel in the bottom corner could do with some work to it.

FINAL DESIGN
My final design has had some adjustments from before, i have changed the type so it fits more to what Christopher Nolan is about, twisted story lines that are confusing ( like a maze ). I kept the book a square because of this reason too, a maze usually is a square shape. I have also made the type so it is fragmented and all over the place, this is again because his films are very fragmented, having different plot lines and focus points on a number of different characters.  The colour scheme is very simple because i didnt want anything to be taken away from the images on the pages,  as they are the main focus. I have also left one balnk pages at the back, one of these will be ripped out so you dont know how it ends, just like in many of his films where he has left you on a cliff hanger and in suspense. So it makes the audience think, whats this? Whats happened? Is it the end? There is also a twist at the end of most his films and so this is something that isn't obvious and holds you in suspense.
