Responsive Purdeys research

Ensure that your designs retain the individuality of the brand, but enable it to appeal to more people. Purdey’s visual identity came as a by-product of packaging that was developed to protect its functionality (the silver wrap shields the drink’s light-sensitive botanicals). This has resulted in packaging like no other soft drink; any proposal must bear this in mind and build on this ethos.

Purdeys Research

Energy: reaction or motion

Opaque:  Opaque is not actually a color but how light passes through an object. If something is transparent, it is clear and light passes through it. If something is translucent, some light passes through. When something is opaque, no light passes through it.

This is there original bottle, and the one we have to redesign, the bottle looks exactly like the back of the shelves on the fridges and so wouldnt stand out at all, it also doesnt scream to me to be a healthy drink, it almost looks industrial

The bottle could be an interesting shape like this MILK below, making it stand out a lot more from the rest of the bottles.

Id like my bottles to work as a set, across both bottles i have to design, so when they are placed next to each other on the shelf they work as a set.

The bottles could also be see through, but have a vivid colour on them, the colour would then scream sport but still look classy and smart

Heat sensitive

I thought this would be an interesting thing to have on the bottle, so when the person touches or holds on to the bottle it would change colour of disappear, or when its cool in the fridge it would be a bright colour and when it comes out it changes to black.

The bottle could change like this, i have also seen aluminium bottles that do the same things as this and that would then stick to the fact they have to be opaque

Further research

I think having a bottle that is more elegant rather than the small stodgy bottle they have at the moment would look a lot better and appeal to the kind of market they'd be looking at.

Again using sharp bright colours would stand out. Especially against a dark background.

Again this holds a interesting shape and gives of, strength and power, something somebody who does sport and exercise might think they are

2 examples of how i think bright colours work really well against a strong dark background and stand out, these also scream energy to me as well.

I think as a contrast for the other bottle it could be white not black, again with a sharp colour so it still givers off the meaning of energy but not as strong as it did on the black bottle.
