STUDIO BRIEF 2 - ALPHABET SOUP - TYPEFACE RESEARCH

BRIEF
Design a typeface for a full alphabet and glyphs ( a to z, !, ?, @, £, ;, . ) that represents the personality/ character of your partner. You will discover their personality/ character through a series of set questions. 

Focus on the manipulation of existing letterforms in order to solve this problem. 

BACKGROUND/CONSIDERATIONS
Experiment with a range of possible line qualities, marks and paper types. What paper types can you work with? 
Your final resolutions should read as convincing, well crafted and clearly presented typographic forms. 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
The typeface that you create must be based upon an existing typeface that you will manipulate, produce in black ink only.The type must be laid out in the given format.

Each resolved letterfrom should be supported by a broad range of visual investigation in the form of design sheets and notebooks.

These are a range of artist who Abi likes, it is clear to see that she is into hand drawn designers who use bright bold colours, so for my typeface i am going to look at bold typefaces and maybe one that is hand rendered. I really like the patterns that are used on Nikki Farquharrsons work, i might try and incorporate them into my typeface and see the effect it has on the type.
