We have been asked to chose a piece of design we consider to be good design and some we consider to be bad design, so to make a easier comparison between 2 sets of work i am going to chose 2 items of the same aspects in graphic design. In this case posters.
Design i consider to be good
I have chosen this image because although its very simple, its extremely clever and its obvious that not only has a lot of thought gone into the image but also the layout of type and the selection of colour. Its clean, precise and is clear what is being advertised.
Design I consider to be bad
I have chosen this poster because unlike the Olly moss poster above, there is no simplicity and there is way to much going on, with no real point of focus for the viewer to look at. i also feel one of the most important aspects of a poster for a film is the name of the film, in this case i feel the name gets lost in everything that is going on and the white flash behind disrupts the selected type making it less readable than if it were on a plain background like the poster above.
